Walailak University Discusses Educational Collaboration with Chinese Embassy in Thailand

Walailak University (WU) held a discussion on educational collaboration with the Chinese Embassy in Thailand at the Chorpradu Chamber, Walailak University Hospital. Attendees included WU executives, students, staff, and delegates from the Chinese Embassy, such as Professor Xu Lan, Counsellor of Education, and Professor Wang Huan, First Secretary.

President Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthayawong led the WU team in discussing enhancements in teaching, research, and student mobility with Chinese universities. Dr. Sombat highlighted WU’s recognition for research excellence and adoption of the UK Professional Standards Framework for student-centered learning.

Professor Xu Lan praised WU's environmental sustainability and high-quality education and research. She emphasized the importance of global collaboration and offered full support to WU.

Walailak University International College also joined the meeting. Ms. Zhaoxu Yang, a WUIC representative, also gave a speech about being Chinese in a Thai university.
