Walailak University International College (WUIC) recently had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Steffen Böttrich from Hochschule RheinMain for a brief but impactful visit from July 21st to July 23rd, 2024. This visit was part of WUIC's ongoing efforts to foster international academic collaboration and exchange.
During his stay, Professor Böttrich engaged in a series of activities aimed at documenting and exploring the cultural and academic landscape of Nakhon Si Thammarat and Walailak University. His work involved capturing detailed records of the region's historical and cultural heritage, as well as the university's academic environment and infrastructure. This documentation is intended to enhance the understanding and appreciation of Nakhon Si Thammarat's rich cultural context and Walailak University’s role within it.
In addition to his documentation efforts, Professor Böttrich met with the President of Walailak University. This meeting provided an opportunity for both academic leaders to discuss potential areas of collaboration and explore ways to strengthen ties between Hochschule RheinMain and Walailak University. The discussions focused on opportunities for joint research projects, student and faculty exchange programs, and other forms of academic partnership that could benefit both institutions.
