Walailak University hosted a heartfelt farewell ceremony today for five exchange students from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), marking the end of their semester-long exchange program. The students, Miss Veronika Isevich, Miss Olga Chegliakova, Mr. Iurii Kniazev, Miss Elizaveta Talavira, and Miss Eva Shestakova, who had returned home earlier, were honored during the event, which was attended by the university’s President and Director for International Affairs.

In a warm and reflective speech, the President reminisced about the students' arrival in June, recalling the vibrant orientation program organized by the Walailak University International College (WUIC). The students were introduced to the beauty of the campus, from the iconic Bota Tower to the scenic Capybara enclosure, and the dazzling winter flowers that brightened their first few weeks at the university.
Throughout their stay, the students had the opportunity to explore Thailand through various cultural and recreational trips organized by the Center for International Affairs. These included excursions to the stunning Samui Island, local city tours, and an unforgettable experience seeing the pink dolphins at Khanom Beach.
Academically, the RANEPA students engaged in a diverse set of courses ranging from Principles of Management, Management of Human Resources, and Business Laws and Ethics to more cultural and physical education courses such as Thai Civilization and Tennis. The final grades will be announced in October, but their time in Thailand has undoubtedly contributed to both their academic and personal growth.
