THA SALA, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 20 August 2025 – The Center for Academic Services (CAS) and Walailak University International College (WUIC), led by Dr. Suchita Manajit and Dr. Konrawan Rattanaburi, conducted a visit to Chumchon Mai School in Tha Sala District as part of the Tha Sala – The Global Neighbor Project (Year 3).
The visit aimed to guide and prepare students for participation in the dish arranging competition to showcase local identity, while also creating opportunities to improve English language skills among local schoolchildren.
Now in its third consecutive year, the Tha Sala – The Global Neighbor Project continues to fulfill its mission of offering free vocational training programs in language and communication skills to communities surrounding Walailak University. The project places strong emphasis on promoting English literacy through workshops designed to enhance participants’ confidence and communication abilities.
This initiative contributes directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
SDG 4: Quality Education – by expanding access to language education,
SDG 1: No Poverty – by supporting skill development that enhances future livelihoods, and
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – by fostering collaborative networks for sustainable community development.
Through such efforts, Walailak University reaffirms its commitment to empowering local communities while advancing global educational goals.
