Walailak University Joins International IT Research Forum On August 26, 2025, Dr. Konrawan Rattanaburi, Lecturer at Walailak University International College, represented Thailand in the international research forum “Empowering IT Educators with the Skills Needed to Engage in International Research Collaborations,” organized by the Philippine Society of IT Educators, Inc. (PSITE) and the Council of Deans for Information Technology Educators (CODITE). The virtual conference was attended by leading scholars and educators from Southeast Asia.
Dr. Konrawan presented in the breakout session on “Thailand’s Strategic Branding in the Digital Era: From the Land of Smiles to the Global Stage,” highlighting how Thailand’s identity is evolving through hospitality, digital innovation, sustainability, cultural leadership, and Muay Thai. Her talk emphasized the importance of building long-term brand value through international collaboration, digital campaigns, and cultural exports. The collaboration was made possible through the kind support of Dr. Alexander C. Hernandez, who connected Dr. Konrawan with Dr. Arlene R. Caballero, Dean of the College of Technology at Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila. Dr. Caballero currently serves as the President of the Council of Deans for IT Educators (CODITE), strengthening cross-border partnerships in IT education and research.
