On 13 January 2026, from 3.00–4.30 p.m., Walailak University International College organized the activity “Sip, Smile and Say Hi!: New Year Tea Time for International Students & Thai Buddies” at the CIA Meeting Room, Walailak University.
The event was held to warmly welcome international exchange students for Semester 2/2025 and to promote friendship and cultural exchange between international students and Thai buddy students in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Participants included exchange students from Germany and Russia, along with Thai buddy students from the School of Medicine, School of Liberal Arts, and the School of Informatics. The mixed participation created opportunities for students to interact, communicate across cultures, and build meaningful connections.
Throughout the event, students enjoyed a variety of fun ice-breaking games and interactive activities that encouraged conversation and laughter. Another highlight of the event was the New Year greeting card activity, where participants wrote and exchanged warm wishes, helping to create a joyful and welcoming start to the New Year.
The activity successfully strengthened relationships among students from diverse backgrounds and reflected Walailak University International College’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive international learning environment.
