The International College organized an off-campus learning and cultural exchange activity for exchange students from Russia and Germany during Semester 2/2025. A total of five exchange students—two from Russia and three from Germany—participated in the program titled “Lansaka: Batik Paint & Mud Spa”, held in Lansaka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, on Saturday, 17 January 2026.
The program featured a hands-on batik painting workshop, a signature cultural activity of the local community, allowing students to learn traditional Thai craftsmanship. In addition, the students explored and experienced the natural environment at Kiriwong Waterfall, promoting experiential learning beyond the classroom and encouraging cultural appreciation through direct community engagement.
This two-day, one-night program provided students with an immersive cultural experience. The participants stayed overnight at Passion Kiriwong Hotel, where they had the opportunity to observe and experience the lifestyle and atmosphere of the Kiriwong community up close. On Sunday, 18 January 2026, the group traveled to Ban Laem Homestay to take part in a community boat tour, learning about local ways of life, and joined a Mud Spa activity, which highlights health promotion and eco-tourism practices rooted in the community.
The activity served as a valuable opportunity to enhance intercultural understanding, strengthen international friendship, and provide meaningful, diverse learning experiences for exchange students through community-based and nature-oriented activities.
