On 19th October 2022, Walailak University International College (WUIC) organized a “Cultural City Tour" for exchange students from Russia and WUIC Students, from 1-7 PM, led by Dr. Wasin Praditsilp and WUIC supporting staff.
Between September and December 2022, WUIC has 7 exchange students under a cooperation agreement with the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (NWIM RANEPA), St. Petersburg, Russia. We held an official welcoming event by taking the Russian students as well as our 4 BBA (International Program) students from China on the field trips to tourist attractions and famous cultural heritage sites in Muang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat such as the City Pillar Shrine, Suchart Supsin Shadow Puppet Museum, Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan (Buddhist temple), Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Kang Phrathat Market. While the students enjoyed Muang Nakhon's beautiful sceneries, WUIC staff and Thai students as WUIC buddies shared historical and interesting information on the city and took the students to do activities with locals, allowing them to learn Thai and local culture, beliefs, and traditions.
