Walailak University Bids Farewell to Exchange Students from Vietnam, Russia, and Beyond

In a poignant ceremony today, Walailak University International College (WUIC) bid farewell to eight exchange students from esteemed institutions around the globe. The President of Walailak University, accompanied by the Vice President, expressed gratitude and well wishes to the departing students from the Vietnam Aviation Academy, Baltic State Technical University, and The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

Addressing the gathering, the President commended the exchange students for their profound impact on the academic community during their tenure at WUIC. Since their arrival on January 4th, these students have not only excelled in their studies by undertaking 4-5 courses this semester but also actively participated in various extracurricular activities, fostering cultural exchange and understanding.

The exchange students' engagement in events such as campus and city tours, as well as cultural experiences like Kiriwong, WUIC Songkran, International Blue Haven, Sustainable Crab Reserve for Ocean Conservation, International Food Festival @ Bota Market, and Valentines at Khao Soon, has broadened their perspectives and enriched their understanding of diverse cultures. In his speech, the President encouraged the departing students to cherish the friendships forged during their time at WUIC and to carry forward the lessons learned to their respective home institutions. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and understanding across borders in fostering global partnerships and friendships.
