In February this year, I came to Russia for an exchange program. First of all, I am very grateful for the cooperation between Walailak University and RANEPA, which gave me the opportunity to visit and study in this beautiful city, St. Petersburg.
I was very surprised and satisfied with RANEPA's dormitory and school building. My Russian teacher was a very kind old lady who patiently taught us Russian letters and words and showed us around the Summer Palace.
At the same time, the students and teachers at the school were very friendly and helpful. It is worth mentioning that I was very lucky to meet my roommate, a very sweet girl who helped me to familiarize myself with life in Russia.
During this time, I traveled to many places and I learned a lot of different things on my journey than I learned in the classroom. My friends and I went to Murmansk to see the Aurora Borealis and to go sledding; we took part in various events, such as the National Day Fireworks Ceremony, military parade and so on; we visited some famous sights, such as the Church of the Resurrection of Christ, the Baplovsk Manor and so on. One of my favorites was St. Isaac's Cathedral, which was so solemn and magnificent that I was addicted to the sanctity of Western culture.
I liked St. Petersburg very much, not only because of the strong atmosphere of learning at school, but also because of the richness of the humanities here. I would like to come here again if I have the opportunity, and I hope that the cooperation between Walailak University and RANEPA will be successful and pleasant.
