WU Passport is the system that focuses on building students to become intellectual graduates and good graduates who smart and happy under the core values of “Gratefulness, Discipline, Volunteerism and Leadership Development”. WU Passport system aims to create Walailak University students to be quality graduates as well as good citizen who will become important to develop the nation and the world society.
All students are required to achieve WU passport score of 100 and complete all courses in order to graduate. According to the framework for student development principles and guidelines for participating in student development activities to create "Good Graduates", students must complete all 4 components in accumulating the scores, details are as following:
Component 1 "Gratitude (Morality, Ethics)", students must have accumulated scores of not less than 20 scores.
These type of score represents the developing and strengthening of students’ consciousness. Students remembered the merit and show respect to their benefactors, university, nation, religion and monarchy. Students are honest, ethical, comply with professional ethics and desirable values of society as well as realize the value of beauty, taking part in the preservation of good music, arts, culture of the nation and international culture.
Component 2 "Know Discipline", students must have accumulated scores of not less than 20 scores.
These type of score represents the developing and strengthening students to be responsible for their own roles and duties. Comply with the rights and duties of good citizen, r respect the rights of others, respect the rules as well as good traditions. Comply with the law and regulations and announcements. Be punctual, respectful, behave and dress appropriately. As well as promoting physical and mental health, don’t interfere with intrigue and drugs. Also, be aware and take care of the environment in accordance with the 5S principle.
Component 3 "Volunteering", students must have accumulated scores of not less than 40 scores.
These type of score represents the developing and strengthening students to be people with giving mind. Students know how to sacrifice and share strength, encouragement, wealth and wisdom to help others. Bringing knowledge and skills to service and volunteering for society. Participating in university and community development. Conserving of natural resources and environment as well as enhancing students' public consciousness. Moreover, students should help taking care of things, know how to save and use resources wisely in order to apply the sufficiency economy philosophy to use as a guide in their daily lives.
Component 4 "Leadership Development", students must have accumulated scores of not less than 20 scores.
These type of score represents the developing and strengthening students to have good personality and social etiquette. Students have good interpersonal skills, service minded, creative and honor others. Students should have high self - esteem and institution, have the ability to deal with problems, ready to adapt the changing of social conditions and can be able to get along with others in a multicultural society. Moreover, students should develop their potential of leader in a creative way in order to be a good role model to others in term of personality, interpersonal, communication and coordination, analyzing problem solving, self-management and organization, has aesthetics of music and art as well as can build a reputation for the university.
*Note:
1. For students whose student code started with 61, the categorizes of scores are not matters. Once their scores have reached 100 scores, they will pass WU Passport. But, for students whose student code started with 62, the special types of score are matter.
