And the water’s high in local river and the klong,
Loy Loy Krathong, Loy Loy Krathong,
Loy Krathong is here and everyone is full of cheer!
We’re together at the klong,
Each one with their krathong,
As we push away we pray we can find a better day.
Yesterday, we celebrated the beautiful festival of Loy Krathong. It was a wonderful opportunity to extend our understanding of the world and learn more about our wonderful host country.
This year, WUIC sent Miss Natalie, our WUIC student representative to participate in the glamorous Miss Noppamas Beauty Contest. I am sure it is one of her wonderful experience! The fun-filled Loy Krathong festival “WU Green Loy Kratong Festival” in the atmosphere of “Romantic Temple Fair” was joyfully celebrated greatly impressing and entertaining both Thai and international student community members. Highly jubilated celebrants comprising administrators, faculty members, staff, students and honored guests mainly clad in colorful Thai traditional costumes excitedly participated in this much awaited nation-wide traditional celebration.
