We are thrilled to announce that the Vice Dean of Walailak University International College (WUIC) has been invited to serve as a visiting professor at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. This collaboration stems from the longstanding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and WUIC, focusing on student and staff mobility as well as academic cooperation.
During the visit, the Vice Dean actively participated in RheinMain University of Applied Sciences' International Staff Week, held from June 19th to June 23rd, 2023. The staff week had a special emphasis on sustainability in internationalization and the utilization of digital opportunities. It provided a platform for workshops and discussions addressing the various challenges faced by higher education institutions in their internationalization efforts. The program facilitated the sharing of experiences, showcased best practices, and fostered networking opportunities to strengthen partnerships.
Furthermore, the Vice Dean also took part in The Global Design & Media CoSpace Project workshop, where participants learned about the project and witnessed a live pitch by students from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls and RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in a Travelling Classroom. The students presented their film ideas to all workshop participants, including Global Design professors, and received valuable feedback.
This visit holds great promise for the future, as it is expected to yield numerous tangible outcomes. One of the key prospects includes inviting professors from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences to teach WUIC students in the upcoming semester. This exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two institutions will enhance the academic experience for students and foster a greater understanding of international perspectives.
